Master 1704 Long Island, NY | Subject: RE: Team Chocolate Peep Disease MMm..me likes chocolate..melted chocolate even better! Hey Team! I'm Tim and I'm in for 22 Hours, since March weather in NY is very unpredictable, so much of this will be on trainer. I suck at Team Captain duties, so someone a little more organized would be better for that. We are going to kick some Peeps Peeps! |

Extreme Veteran 506 Lake Placid, NY | Subject: RE: Team Chocolate Peep Disease It was 26 degrees BELOW when I left for the gym this morning.....now that's some nice spring weather for ya! My name is Amy- I'm new to BT (January) and new to tris. Might be brave enough to sign up for one on April 5 when I'm in Florida on vacation, in preparation for my "big" event-- the 1/2 Tinman in Tupper Lake, NY on June 29. I have to say I'm loving the training (though I wish it could be OUTSIDE), loving the BT boards, and loving these challenges!! I've committed to 16 hours on the bike- not a chance one pedal stroke will be outdoors in Lake Placid, NY-- as I get ready to bust out for the Florida sun and a rented road bike for two weeks with my family come March 28. yippeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! What does a team captain even do? I've only done one other challenge...the February challenge-- so I don't really know. |

Extreme Veteran 393 Columbia, South Carolina | Subject: RE: Team Chocolate Peep Disease Hi team! I love chocolate but can't stand peeps so I guess I'm in the right place. I do like marshmallows (the mini ones), but something about that extra sugar on top...just unnecessary! Ok anyway...I'm in for 9 hours this month. Not much, but would still be one of my biggest bike volume months ever, and I NEED the motivation to make it happen as clearly I need to be spending more time on the bike in the coming months (training for a sprint on June 1 and my first Oly on July 20). I completed 3 sprints last year and did ok on the bike, but I really want to do much better this year. I'm also still rehabbing a wonky knee following a knee surgery on 12/14. Looking forward to a great month of training! (March is also my birthday month...) |

Expert 1022 | Subject: RE: Team Chocolate Peep Disease There is recovery from Chocolate Peep disease. There have been several studies published on the web about the effects of liquid nitrogen, vacum pumps, and ovens on Peeps. Not a pretty sight. Anyway... Howdy. I'm Brian, from San Francisco Bay Area. After I recover from my first marathon on Sunday, I'm scheduled for 12 hours of biking. I'm starting to get prepped for the Vineman 70.3 in July, and then IMAZ in Thanksgiving. Look forward to thinking up evil things to do to peeps, even though I do have a secret love for them. Just don't tell my wife. |

Extreme Veteran 832 Podunk County, MN | Subject: RE: Team Chocolate Peep Disease Hey, gang, I'm Kristin. I loathe peeps with a passion, which is strange because I love marshmallows. Peeps bear no resemblance to marshmallowy goodness, in my book. I signed on for 150 miles - I need to ramp up my run training this month, but I couldn't miss out on a challenge like this one. I'm also in the snowy north, so will be spending more quality time with my trainer. We're really getting quite fond of each other. |

I changed to that when I was peeved at our local school board, and have left it that way ever since. I actually live in a really beautiful part of the state and love it, but sometimes it does feel like the middle of nowhere. |

Veteran 188 Rochester, NY | Subject: RE: Team Chocolate Peep Disease My name is Kameron and I specifically asked to be on this team since you all share my dislike for those gross Peeps!! I'm in for 9 hours this month. I did 7 in February. 9 is a lot for me, but these challenges have really gotten me motivated, so I have high hopes! I'm not super chatty, but I do check in now and again. Good luck everyone! |

It will be my first HIM attempt this July, but they also have a Sprint the day before. |

It will probably be on my list of races to do eventually! |

Extreme Veteran 506 Lake Placid, NY | Subject: RE: Team Chocolate Peep Disease OKAY, Peeps-- (and may I add that I like chocolate waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more than Peeps, so this an appropriate team name as well....) TEN TEAMS? It going to be HARD to get to our goal first if we don't get cracking right away! And today is March 1. And although I have a run planned and promised to take the kids skiing this morning, I will be coming home and getting on the bike on the dreaded TRAINER for at least a random 30 minutes to start this challenge off. I think my plan is going to be 30 on the bike even on days when I have no bike-- to meet this challenge. So GET ON YOUR BIKES, FOLKS!!! and have a lovely Saturday!! |

Master 1567 Kauai, Hawaii | Subject: RE: Team Chocolate Peep Disease Aloha! I HATE PEEPS ALSO! The only marshmallow I like is on a s'more with DARK chocolate please. I think I signed up for 100 miles, I know that is not much but It is more than I usually do in a month! I have alway completed my goals and then some in these challenges and I have never been on team that lost. Please don't give me a hard time if you see me using the trainer; cold weather/snow isn't the only reason a trainer is good for, heck when I lived in NH I would venture out on my Mt. bike in the snow. The roads on my island SUCK! Very Dangerous so I have really one good route from my house and with the kids..... I also love my spinnerval DVDs! It is better than not doing it all! Looking forward to talking some smak. I agree the name is appropriate for me too since Chocolate is my fav too.

Expert 1019 Muncie, IN | Subject: RE: Team Chocolate Peep Disease OK...I actually can take or leave Peeps, but peeps coated in chocolate looks grose, so I'm on the right team. My beagle always had to roll on her cookies before she would eat them and one day I gave her a Peep. She rolled on it then stood up to eat it and it was stuck to her back as if it was riding her. She couldn't find it anywhere! Guess you had to be there. I tried to ride outside yesterday, but when I got to the Greenway (in my car), it was still ice, snow, and slush covered. I will be on the trainer for a few more weeks. I'm going to try for 60 trainer miles this month. My name is Amy and I am a middle school band director. This will be my second season of triathlons. |

Hi team, My name is Ron I'm in for 200 miles this month did 172 last year in March and should make 200 unless I get ill or eat to many peeps. Good Luck everyone, Ron |

I will mention the fact you can 'increase your goal' regularly if people get to 100% really early in the month but of course this is up to you... especially with life you may have deliberately planned your month that way! |
