Have you ever thought you were invisible?
I often wonder if I am. There are several forums I post on, some (more than a few) of the threads I start go unanwered and the often I am the last one to post in others.
This is not a BT pity party, just an observation.

Heck no, you're not invisible! I still remember your 'go to your room' comment. Funny stuff. Consider that some people are highly visible but you wish they weren't!

Pearls before swine, Joe. Don't take it to heart.

See my .sig.

I mostly post in the evening, AFTER work, unlike SOME people around here. So I always seem to be the last person posting to a thread, and then it dies.

I haven't been here long, but I think the key is to talk about burritos.  RED burritos.

sigh...  i think we've established the burrito is passe..  we've moved on to Gyros

Didn't say you had to like them.  In fact, I've declared myself "Burrito Hostile" for the sake of being an attention whore.

So I have one of those days were I coudnt even get noticed by the boss if I sat naked at my desk (I was fully clothed most of the day). I get home and my oldest son was coming over to have diner with us, and he was bringing my grandaughter! Now I was going to get soma attention! Well, by the time I get home, my wife is freaking out because my two youngest kids, 7 tear old girl and 9 year old boy had gone to the park, and were not home. I got on the MTB to get them. They were not at the park, we called friends, looked everywhere!!! OMG, my kids were missing!!! 2 hours into the search with the police now involved, and they were missing!!! We got a flyer from school this week about some man showing his stuff to a kid in a differant nieghborhood, so now I was big time freaked out. Three hours later, they were still missing. I came back to the house because the batteries in my flashlight went out, and as I was throwing stuff from a drawer to the floor to find batteries, I thought, there is a flashlight in my sons room, I went up there and.....there they were.......playing the game of Life!!!!
There came home before I got home and were playing nicely together. I began to cry and hugged them for a long time, they didnt understand. As I sat on the floor in my sons bedroom, crying, explaining what was going on, my 7 year old daughter said "it was like we were invisible, have you ever been invisible Daddy?" I was now laughing and crying at the same time.
It took about 45 mins to find all of the searchers and tell them it was all OK. It was great to see how many nieghbors went out in the cold to help.
Invisable, what a strange thing it is to be.

Aw, man--I got all stressed just reading your post. Invisible and then that? Whoa. You do need a hug, so here's one from a total and complete stranger--I'm sure that'll help.

For what it's worth, I think you often post funny things. I just don't always have anything to say in response.

Have you ever heard that song by Joshua Kadison (an excellent though mostly unknown musician, I think)? It's called 'Here I Am" and the chorus talks about feeling like the invisible man. good stuff.

Wait, I'll google.

Here:

Joshua Kadison, Here I Am

Woke up this morning with a funny feeling,
wasn't really sure what it was all about.
But it felt like I was disappearing,
so I ran to the mirror to check it out.
I said, "Here I am, here I am, here I am
...but why do I feel like the invisible man?"

I stumbled back into the bedroom,
and stared out at the rising sun.
Then I heard myself shout out the window,
not really talking to anyone.
I yelled, "Here I am, here I am, here I am
...but why do I feel like the invisible man?"

Lights went on, people started yelling,
"Will the crazy man go back to bed."
And there I was, laughing out my window,
feeling much better now, somebody heard what I said.

Well it's no big thing, no revelation,
no answer to these lives we lead.
But I think I do know one thing;
Sometimes I think we all need to say;
"Here I am, here I am, here I am,"
when life makes us feel like the invisible man.

Lights went on, people started yelling,
"Will the crazy man go back to bed."
And there I was, laughing out my window,
feeling much better now, somebody heard what I said.

Woke up this morning with a funny feeling,
wasn't really sure what it was all about.
But it felt like I was disappearing,
so I ran to the mirror to check it out.
I said, "Here I am, here I am, here I am
...but sometimes I feel like the invisible,
here I am, here I am, here I am
...but why do I feel like the invisible man

Hope you feel better, eh?
