T-Rex @ IRLA 8/19 - Who's In?

I'm in.  My training has taken a speed bump.  We got a new puppy, and are devoting alot of time to him.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HE IS SOOOOOO CUTE!!!  whats his name? 

His name is Joey.  He's a golden retriever, but I think he looks more like a polar bear!  He should darken up a little bit, but will be a nice light golden color.
 

OMG...sooo adorable!  We have two Golden Retriever-ish dogs ourselves...they make great running buddies! 

In other news...I'm a maybe for T-rex.  Have to see how the work schedule shakes out.

Anybody have a clue as to the water temperature out there.   Got a feeling this might be my first race without my wetsuit -- I actually feel strong enough in my swimming that it won't affect me to much.

I'm in. It's the best 2 out of 3 between me and my brother in law. I won the first one and he got the last one.  I'm hoping for 90+ degrees and no wet suits.

I am in also for the 3rd part. I really hope for wetsuits because the swim is always a nightmare for me, despite my good times. Just can't hold my freestyle and end up with Plan B (side crawling) and sometimes plan C (backstroke) for a few strokes. With the wetsuit, not much penalty for these 2 alternatives hehe

Jason: Good luck with your new puppy. We had the same one 1.5 years ago. I really wish you that he will be less devil than hours. I remember pulling my hairs and thinking about suicide for a while Amazing how much such a small creature can affect your life.

Okay, I pulled the trigger today...registered and picked up my packet.  It has been over 3 years since I've done a real sprint distance tri (not counting Ann Arbor)...I have a feeling the anaerobic-ness is going to hurt!

It would be great to meet some of you.  I am doing the Traverse oly on Sunday, but will be over there training and to watch a few friends.  Let me know if anyone has a meeting spot in mind.

I am probably going to get in a mile swim prior (Trout Lake) and maybe a ride before the race (5ish) if anyone wants to join.
