Moved into the New House!

Okay, after several trials and tribulations, we are finally (almost) moved into our new house. Yesterday we had heavy rainfall warnings and wind warnings, which apparently put my mover behind at his first job of the day. At around noon (he was supposed to be at my place around 1-2) I was talking to him and he said he probably wouldn't be able to make it. I should just rent a UHaul and find some friends to help. Well, I thought that was the whole purpose in hiring a mover - so that I didn't have to rent a UHaul or buy help with beer. Anyway, after fuming for a bit, I called UHaul and managed to find a truck I could rent. Then, started calling the couple of unemployed friends that I have and found one who was willing to work. So, around 9:30 last night, I finally finished getting almost everything moved into the house. So, no trouble getting to sleep in a strange place - I was exhausted and out as soon as my head hit the pillow. Hopefully such a beginning is not a harbinger of things to come!
