Subject: Route Tracker for OWS

Is there a way the OWS routes can remain in the Satellite mode and not the Map mode? Map mode default for an OWS is pretty useless IMHO!  Also on this out and back Route, when I turn on the markers they stop at 10 instead of going up to 14.  I think I mentioned this before but could be mistaken.  Show Points also doesn't appear do anything except reset the image back to Map mode.

...update, checked a newer OWS route (9/07) and this works ok for points and display mode.  Do I have to redo my older routes? (BTW markers still ended at 10 on the newer route).

Misc Item regarding inserting/edit links.  Is it possible to have a selection for 'add new tab' or is this one of those better not to do deals?

Just edit the route and save it in Satellite mode. It should default to Satellite after that.

Also on this out and back Route, when I turn on the markers they stop at 10 instead of going up to 14. Just edit the route, and save it in Satellite mode. It should then default to Satellite whenever you view it.

I thought we had added the additional distance markers for swim. We'll look into it.

I'm not sure what you're referring to. Can you be more specific?

#1 Will do thanks.

#2 Me to, I thought I saw this mentioned this before.

#3 Sorry, not related to RT, but when drafting a message to post. It's the Chain link icon on the tool bar (Insert/edit link). You can select 'Open in this window/frame', 'open in new window', etc. I was just wondering if an option for 'Open in new tab' can be performed since tabs are the new thing in the latest browsers.  No biggie.

Actually, there isn't a way for us to code that. There's no command I'm aware of that we can insert into a web page that says "if the user has a tab capable browser, open this link in a new tab otherwise open it in a new window".

You can either change your browser settings to always open new windows as a tab, or if you use FireFox, hold down Enter as you click on a link and it will open in a tab rather than a window.
