Subject: Loggerhead Triathlon
Anyone racing in this race in Jupiter, FL or has in the past? Signed up for the sprint today and just looking for anyone who has raced the course before etc. Field is capped at 600 and they had 400 as of today (Event is on 8/09/08). Liek the smaller field and from what I know of that area, great scenic rides and run...

Wife and I did this race last year... Small event, nice though.... Bike course last year was a two lapper, slight incline in beginning then mostly flat, very scenic ride along the coast.... swim was nice and calm, seeing the sun rise over the ocean was nice... pretty decent schwag, good looking tech shirt, one of my favorites actually.. Sister in law has a new front loading washing machine to give away, we may schedule a trip down there to coincide with Loggerhead... We see...

This is my hometown Tri! I am very exited to do this race. If you are thinking about doing this one... Do IT!! The beach is awesome, and you will love the course!

So how did you do? Could not have asked for better ocean conditions, although did not help my swim time Great event and will be on my calendar every year going forward....
