Subject: RE: Which component to upgrade? Bottom line, lighter wheels make a faster bike. You can replace other stuff for less money, but anytime you can reduce rotating weight on a bike, do it. I bought Shimano R535 wheels last spring, and they made a huge difference (Plus, they look really cool ) for only about $300.
Also, if you are going to replace part of the drivetrain (derailleurs, cogs, chainrings, chain ), you should replace it all to ensure that your shifting performance doesn't suffer. |
