Subject: Mens 1500m Run

The USA is cursed in this event.   Lopez Lomong brought up the rear in his semifinal and Bernard and Manzano  couldn't hold the pace.   Bernard now has to focus on th 5000.

Why is this such a hard event for Americans?

I dunno.. you don't get a better 1500 runner right now than Lagat.. so not sure what happened there.

Yes, Lagat was a heavy favorite.  Didn't look like he had any more gears like usual.   And his heat was slow so he didn't get a better time.

So much tactics and bumping.   Darnit.
