Looking for some information...I am going to be in San Jose on business for a few days.  Is it safe to run out of downtown?  Any routes that may sense?

when are you going to be in town.  About what time are you going to be running and where exactly are you staying.

I am staying downtown SJ.  I will be out next week from Monday afternoon to Thursday.  I was hoping for a long run Tuesday AM and maybe a tempo run on Thursday AM.

It is usually pretty safe to run downtown, but I don't like it, because of the amount of lights...There are a couple of trails in the area.  If you run to "childrens discover park" (Woz way and San Carlos), there is a trail entrance that runs through down town, the rose garden area and past the airport.  I am not sure how long it goes as they have been doing work on it.  If you have access to a car and can drive a little ways, The Los Gatos Creek trail is a great trail to run on.  The closest entrance to the Los Gatos Creek trail I can think of is near Meridian ave and Curci dr.  There are mile markers on the trail, and it goes for quite a while.

When you say "in the morning", what time are you talking about?  and What is a "long" run to you?  I run Tuesday and Thursdays at about 11 / 11:30am...but I am running in South San Jose on the Coyote Creek trail.
