Subject: Greetings from SacramentoI want to start off by showing my apathy to those of you training in places that receive snow this time of the year. I grew up (maybe not quite completely ) in Colorado Springs, so I know what winter is all about. But I admit Sacramento is a great place for training because of the American River Trail, Folsom Lake, and Natomas Lake all easily accessible. So if you want to leave the snow, Sacramento is great place. But I diverge.
I am relatively new to triathlons. I raced in a couple duathlons last year because I am still learning to swim. I never learned to swim freestyle as a child, but fortunately I am comfortable in the water. Right now I am trainaing for the San Diego Rock & Roll Marathon so swimming doesn't get much attention right now. But as soon as I complete the marathon, swimming becomes my priority. Even when I prioritize swimming, I still have the opportunity to bike to work every day or drive and then go for run during the day. Gotta love the American River Trail. Did I say I love Sacramento????????
