Run
Comments: This was a hard run. Physically I pushed harder and felt worse than when I ran a 1:46 last season. The run was nice, not too congested, good views of city and despite the rain, good crowd support. What would you do differently?: I knew that I was being effected by the economy, pressures from my boss, my increased travel with my job, etc, but didn't realize that it took this much of a toll. Or it's the leg problem, I don't know. I have not been training well lately and I am going to see an orthopod(sp?) to see what can be done. I need more pain free long runs. Post race
Warm down: Walked around, ate, then walked back to my car. My son finished 20 minutes before me and was kinda cold, so we left right away. What limited your ability to perform faster: Training, duh! I am having this pain behind my knee at the top of the calf and it got so painful that one of my mile splits was over 11 minutes. At that point, I was ready to give up, but decided to push harder and see what happened. The next mile was 9:28 and got faster from there with my final mile at 7:35. Event comments: Very well run race, started right on time! Last updated: 2009-01-19 12:00 AM
