Subject: Rear cassette recommendation

So I am trying tp improve on my hill work, but I'm a big guy so the 13-23 that I'm currently using is not easy for me.  I know I need to HTFU and just go ride hills, already doing that.  But, anyone have any suggestions on cassette changes I could make to make it a bit easier during the beginning of my training, like right now?

Just FYI, A buddy has an 11-26 that he is going to let me try out.  The crankset is a 53/39 and I have a 9-speed.

Thanks for the help.

11-26
12-27
11-28

Just depends on how hilly it is and what it takes for you to get up them.  If the 11-26 isn't enough the 9 speed 11-28 (SRAM) is pretty inexpensive.

You can also look at possibly a compact crank, depending on how much climbing you do.

I run a 50/34 crank and a 12-25 cassette.  Helps me on the hills going up and I can still hit 30 mph and not spin out of my 50/12.
