Subject: Garmin Kaput or Charger?
So I have a long ride today and in the middle of the night realize I have to charge my 305.  I grab it from the charger and as I got to turn it on NUTHIN.  Now I plug it in and realize that nothing appears in the window, the usual "Battery charging"

WTF?  Anyone else have this problem?  The unit it about 3 years old.....

I have an older 201 that 2 weeks ago, Garmin replaced the charger for free. It was definetly older than warranty support, but Garmin's great customer service took good care of me. I didn't even have to pay for shipping.

Give them a call, they may be good help for you.

Subject: RE: Garmin Kaput or Charger?
Try a "hard reset".  I can't remember the button combo to push but that's happen to me before and a hard reset fixed it. Search here or google it

That was seriously weird.  It's been so long since I did a "hard" reset I forgot about it.  So I do that, and lo and behold it not only comes on, the charger works.
