Subject: World Championship in DC on US...question
I was just watching the Men's Triathlon World Championship in DC on Universal Sports this afternoon (was a replay from June 21, 2009). I have a question about the aerobars they use...does anyone know what brand/model of aerobar most of those guys are using on their road bikes? I know they have to be UTI legal...but was curious as to the brand/model. The camera never got close enough to really get a good look at 'em.

There are a couple of common brands such as the Vision Mini's and the Profile Design T2+.  I believe that both of these models come with the bridge to make them ITU legal.

Then there are some that aren't available (or weren't) like the Pro model that Simon Whitfield used last year in Beijing.

ETA - not sure how common this is now but a couple of years ago many of the aerobars were DIY jobs that the athletes had cut down themselves and then bridged with whatever was available (like a piece of garden hose).
