Of course I dream of watching riders fly by through fields of French lavender on a sunny day in July... one day, one day... but in the meantime, where can I find some pro or semi-pro cycling races to cheer on racers- here in the U.S.? I know the Tour of Cali has been scheduled for May 2010-- does anyone know of other dates or races? (Even relatively smaller ones- for example, I've heard the Fitchburg Longsjo Classic is a great one in MA) I am in NYC- are there any ones close by?

There are tons of races around, amateur races can be just as exciting to watch as the pro's sometimes.

I think the tour of Missouri is in September.  It has attracked high level teams and high level riders in the past.  According to the web page, the top 9 finishers from the TdF all will be at the Tour of Missouri.
