Subject: First bike! How much is a 2005 Felt S32 worth?Hi All, I'm new to triathlon and looking into purchasing my first bike. This Felt is for sale on eBay and I asked the seller if I could but it now and he wanted me to give him an offer. So my question is what is a reasonable offer. He states that it is low wear so believe that or not. Also, he said its a 57cm. I thought they only make even sizes so I will ask about that. I posted his eBay description below. Thanks for the help! -Kevin The Felt S32 is delivered with a Shimano 105 front and rear derailleur, FSA Gossamer cranks, A-Class ALX220 EXA wheelset with CSW machined braking surface and Vittoria Action HSD tires, Shimano Dura-Ace 9 speed bar end shifters, Profile aerobars and a micro adjust, dual bolt, zero setback seat post. The bike uses a genuine Shimano Tiagra cogset (not a cheap knock-off ) along with a truly nice KMC Z 9900 chain, ISIS splined sealed cartridge bearing bottom bracket and a fine triathlon specific saddle designed and made specifically for Felt. Bike Sport Michigan did a very thorough review of the 2005 Felt S32 - http://www.bikesportmichigan.com/reviews/feltS32.shtml- which rated the bike as the best value for money buy for entry level triathletes. This Felt orginally retailed at $1199 - I just upgraded to a full carbon Orbea which is why I am selling it. The bike has only had about 500 miles on it and only raced it twice. Its been regularly serviced and apart from flat tires, I have had no problems with it at all. At 57cm, it's suitable for male or female. I am about 5'10 and weigh around 180lbs. Tri-bikes tend to be a little smaller than regular road bikes so this is probably the equivalent of a 54/55. |
