Brief Description

Welcome to the Inaugural Young Survival Coalition Tour de Pink - Atlanta! This one day event offers you multiple ride length options with full rest stop and mechanical support. Ride through the beautiful streets of north Atlanta and arrive at Perimeter Mall for a celebration of completing your day of cycling for a wonderful cause. All registered cyclists receive a t-shirt for participants. All those who raise over $250 will receive a custom designed Tour de Pink cycling jersey.

 

Fundraising Minimum

There is a $100 fundraising minimum required for registered riders.

I thought I saw a 1 mile ride? I totally want to race that.

I would be interested, but I do not want to pay $125 to ride which is what it would cost me because I would rather pay the extra $100 than to ask someone else for it.  I know there are several rides that require a minimum fundraising fee, but I have wondered if they would make more money by not requiring a set fundraising fee.  I would think they would get more riders.  It would not mean that they could not still ask people to raise money, but it they would get additional riders who do not feel comfortable asking others for donations even if it is for a good cause.

I totally agree, Neal.  I'd rather they up the registration fee for non-fundraising participants (not by $100 though)

I would think more riders at say $60 would be more beneficial than less riders due to the strict minimum fundraising standard.  Event participation is key to making it an annual event.
