Subject: Dropped by a butterfly!

On my ride today at lunch I am making my way up this moderate hill and to my right I see this cute little yellow butterfly.  A few seconds go by and I realize the butterfly is still there.  Being competitive to anything that will race I start to speed up because I'll be darn if I let a butterfly pass me.  Well apparently this butterfly was more competitive than me and made a break away.  Try as I might I could not catch this butterfly!  Eventually he flew off into the woods never to be seen again.  A BUTTERFLY!!!  REALLY?

Butterflies can fly anywhere from 5 to 30 MPH.  The slow flying ones are usually the poisonous variety.  Could be a good reason you got dropped.  Maybe not.

that's pretty funny...

a few months ago, i ran a route that passes by a small pond. A few insects came by and started to dive bomb/kamikaze into my eyes and hair. i was running and they could definitely fly faster than I could make my legs go...

a few days later, as i was riding the same route, the same gang of bugs came out from hiding and did it again. i smirked, thinking all i had to do was up my speed to 20mph and they'd be dropped...

yeah right! I was going as fast as I could and they kept up with me, and still managed to continue to bang into my face...

you can't drop bugs, man...

Hilarious!

Out running bugs!  I feel the pain.  I would much rather jog down the dirt road and through the local park but I can't!  The deer flies are absolutely terrible right now.  The last time I tried I must of looked like an escaped lunatic!  Running as fast as I can slapping my headTongue out
