Subject: Too much sodium?
I've been on the other end of not enough sodium(was a constant battle before I overhauled my nutrition), but I don't think I've ever ingested too much sodium before/during an event. What kind of issues should I be watching out for that could signal too much sodium intake?

Really thirsty, that's the biggest thing.  Probably some GI distress as well.

Hmm, I wonder is there any way to differentiate between thirst from not enough intake & thirst from too much sodium? Are there secondary symptoms(like the GI distress) that I could look for?

Sodium is one of the electrolytes that's most readily regulated in the body--even in patients with really, really bad end stage renal disease they'll clear excess sodium without a problem.

I think it would be a pretty huge challenge to actually get your sodium to be abnormally high--it would take some serious work.
