To any BC triathletes that raced Calgary last summer,

How cold is this GHOST Lake? And what is the bike course like?

If possible, could you recommend a lake/bike course in the fraser valley that mimic Calgary's race?

Any details would be much appreciated.

Its an easy race.

Bike is all down hill.

Lake is not too cold.

Haz would know more about it.

We drove up there last year and did it.

Lake was very choppy and seemed like there was alot of fuel in there. Cultus lake is about as cold in june. I wore a sleeveless and was fine. The bike course was nice. If you rode up to Chilliwack lake and back that would be fine. Or Depending on where you live you could do a few hill repeats. Get used to the wind.

The run was average with a few big hills thrown in for a few kicks. It was hot so start training in the heat.

Finish line was great and they gave you a great big belt buckle!!!!

Ps: dont drink the night before...

I live in Langley so Chilliwack lake is definitely a possibility but I don't know the area that well. Could you be more specific about the Chilliwack lake ride? I seem to recall a pretty some pretty beat up roads near Chilliwack Lake Provincial Park.

Its a bit beat up but its fairly good. Not too much traffic on weekdays.

Lagley, there isn't too many hilly sections on the race itself. It goes up quite a bit then it has long rollers. Not too bad. If you can get across the river and ride Maple ridge mission hills, you would be fine.
