Subject: Race Wheel Rental
Does anyone know of a tri shop/bike store in the greater Vancouver area that rents race wheels WITH insurance? I've come across two locations that rent wheels (Pacific Multisport & TriGeeks) but neither store offers insurance. I don't like the idea of having to sign my life away and risk covering the cost of a CRAZY expensive wheel set if an accident should happen. Any suggestions?

You could try Peter at Tri3sports in Port Moody. I doubt he can offer Insurance but might be worth a call.

I don't know if anyone in the lower mainland offers insurance for the rentals. Tri Geeks is the only store i've come across that offers insurance for tires but that's about it. I've rented from Tri3 and Peter doesn't offer insurance either.

I just got an email today from Ironman.com and if you are signed up for one of their races they have wheels you can rent. They have three different plans. Cheapest is $150 not bad I guess. Here the link : www.ironmanwheels.com.
