Subject: Just got a Garmin 405..Having Problems Need Help
I just picked up the Garmin 405 and I can't seem to turn it on. The manual says you need to charge it for 3 hours first and it's been on a charge for about 2 and the screen is totally blank. I tried pressing the enter and quit buttons at the same time but nothing. Does the unit need a full three hours before it even turns on? Please help I hope I didn't get a broken one. It was the last one and the store is a major pain with returns.

not sure but if it says 3 hrs i would do that first...if battery is too low it may be inactice like my itouch...good luck

Do yourself a favor..send it back and get the 305...Ive had both...im not happy with the 405

Make sure your outlet is good and that you have the charging clip on right.  I think I remember mine working way sooner than then.
