Comments: I felt really slow at first with all these people passing me, and I could see a lot of people ahead. Then when we turned around, I saw a lot more people behind me and I felt a whole lot better!! What would you do differently?: Nothing ![]() Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: Haven't done any speed training yet, but that has been the plan all along. It is time to start. The cold windy weather also puts the brakes on your speed. Last updated: 2004-04-04 12:00 AM

Nothing fancy. Ate cereal and a banana 3 hours before. Cursed the weather after yesterday was so nice. Tried to time everything so that I wouldn't be late standing in the bathroom line!!!
I didn't realize that it was such a big race, so I was glad I was relatively early
