Pre-race routine:

Got up early and ate the usual bagel and peanut butter breakfast. Made sure I had everything and rode down to transition.

I didn't push myself because I was afraid I would have nothing left for the bike and run. I just wasn't feeling it this day, so I took it easy and enjoyed the time racing.

Hmmm...probably psych myself up a little more.

My head...I just wasn't feeling it so I just enjoyed the day and took it easy. Nasty grade didn't seem that tough with this mentality.
