Good morning, BT! Hopefully, Kim takes this back over tomorrow. Well, hopefully, she's having a great time.

Karen, I thought I'd feel the same way without carbs, but I never really felt hungry. It helped that I had some foods like avocados, which are very filling even without the carbs. Still, I was not a fan, and I think it affected my performance (if only mentally) on the bike.

Parkland, I hear you about the cooler weather. I think that stuff has mostly passed here in north Texas. The plus side, I guess, is I can start working on heat acclimation (yes, I'm grasping).

6:45 - 1,300 yards, with a monthly 500 yard time trial. It went well, except for the second 25. Cost me a few seconds, and I missed my average goal pace by 1 second overall. But, I was able to hit the last 50 hard, and it was my fastest.

Have a great day, BT!

Note quite a time trial for me this morning but close.  My last run Time Trial was in January were I held a 6:05 pace for 30 minutes @ 165 BPM HR.

This morning was a "tempo" run.  My target HR was 146-152 BPM.  I did two 15 minutes Tempo Intervals with 5 min WU, RI, CD.  I was at about 6:30 pace for the tempo intervals so very easy compared to a time trial but it was my fasted 45 minute run since January.

I did a 30 minute swim in the PM.

Have a great day BT!

515am: 1:31, 36km ride. 6 X 5min HRZ5 efforts with 5min recovery between. Very windy and wet which made for a tough ride.

Military press, squats, calves and core strengthening earlier.

4.1 miles on the treadmill. Mostly easy with an uphill and faster finish.

I dread the heat but with the Augusta half in September, I guess I need to start getting ready for it. Kind of wish I had access to a sauna so I could prep for the humidity also.

Happy training!
