Member 41  Great Neck |  Subject: What's Your Favorite Half Iron or Iron Distance RaceHello all, This is my 2nd season doing triathlons & i've participated in 8 Half Iron races. My favorite races have been the Vineman and the Timberman. Coincidently, both races produced my worst finish times… Vineman – great organization, challenging course, beautiful location, race through wine country, part of run through a vineyard, scenic bike course, nice post race food Timberman – Festive atmosphere pre race, great organization, VERY family friendly, excellent post race festivities, some pretty viewpoints along course, cool stuff in goody bag, nice tech shirt, great (Mavic) support along course, plentiful post race food What's your favorite race? eddie |

| Online or Offline | Subject: RE: What's Your Favorite Half Iron or Iron Distance Race MOOSEMAN! (I've only done Mooseman, Timberman and FirmMan) Early June, by the same RD that does Timberman. Hillier than T'Man, but a MUCH MORE beautiful course - my slowest 1/2 IM finish time, but by far the most enjoyable. I can't stand that ride along the 4-lane highway at T'Man, I don't understand what the big appeal of that bike course is at all. |
