Subject: 4.30.18 Monday Morning! Last day of April! Crazy!!! Blessed off day for me--I really needed it! Had a great hike up to Hawkwatch yesterday with my younger daughter and her friend and wouldn't you know it...it snowed! The last time we did the hike back in January my daughter and I got caught in a snowstorm up there--couldn't believe we ran into snow again. This time it was just flurries so more comical than scary! Busy week ahead! Wednesday evening I'm flying to Kansas City, older daughter Sydney is picking me up, we'll head to Marshall to pack up her dorm room and start the long drive home Friday. I can't believe she's already done with her first year of college! She is transferring to a different school next year. Marshall's softball program was not up to par--very little coaching and way too lax. Sydney is a very driven and disciplined athlete that wants to continually improve and learn and that did not happen at MVC. Anyhow, she'll be back home for the summer and to be honest, it'll be a big adjustment having her home again! Karen you really had a stinker of a year last year...I really hope this first race goes just how you want--it's been a long time in coming! Have a great day! |
