CNN's reporting that today will be the big sleep for Danny Rolling.
What always puzzled me was, what was the attraction of Univ of Fl that would bring multiple serial killers. 25 years ago or 15 years ago the UF campus was a little oasis amongst a very rural setting of agri leftovers and trailer parks. Ted Bundy, Danny Rollings, and others like Pee Wee Gaskins were known to have visited and murdered there, either on campus or in the surrounding area. I know there are a lot of UF alums here on BT. Were any of you around when this stuff was happening?

I hope it hurts.

I remember listening to the old Ron and Ron show with one of their sidekicks Flipper doing a song about the scum.

Harvest him for body parts.

Ted Bundy and Danny Rollings were (let's just count him as gone, k?) pretty nice looking, charming guys ... when they wanted to be. I was on the UF campus a couple of times in the early 80's and while it's hard to capture in a few words ... the campus just had a more open, friendly feel to it than NCSU, where I was in school. Perhaps it's the Florida climate ... the students spent more time outside ... were more open and engaging than I was used to. I guess what attracts a student to that environment would also attract serial killers ... a place where they could quickly blend in and gain access. *shrug* I say good riddance!
