Subject: Planned BT features
Looking through some of the threads in this forum, there are many features that are discussed that are planned. It would be very useful as a BT user to be able to see a list of what is planned as well as when (within a quarter?) these are planned to go live.

Perhaps this list could be updated when they do go live so we would have 1 place to look to see what is available. Often I miss when a new button or sub-menu is added and I don't regularly visit the Training & Nutrition Logs forum.

I particularly like the idea of letting us know what/when "planned" becomes "available" - but I will warn that the reason nobody lists stuff like this is that people (not you people, other people, people who are too mean to visit BT) internalize "planned" features and "probable" dates as "promised" and throw temper tantrums when "planned" or "probable" doesn't happen as scheduled. If the good folks at BT are generous enough to give us this list, I personally forbid anyone to be the slightest bit negative towards them if and when things change.

End rant (can you tell I work in tech?).

The best way to watch for new features is to subscribe to and read the email newsletter. We try to get new things released kind of quietly and then formally announce them a couple weeks later in the newsletter.

As to publishing expected release dates for specific features, that can be tough. The last thing we want to do is make a promise and then not deliver on it.

Trust me, I understand the difficulties of software delivery, which is why I suggested a quarterly "estimation". I still think it would be very helpful to have a list of features (planned as well as completed) sticky here in this sub-forum. Perhaps the list could be categorized as:
Planned (available within the next several months)
Planned (available within a year)
Planned (not actively working on)
Completed

The beauty of this is that you're not promising anything as there is no specific date nailed down. It would have saved me quite a bit of time if I knew the plan import was being done so that I could have initially planed my year in Excel. Now, I'm going through and re-doing my plan in Excel so I can import it. Still, though, this is easier than building the plan with the current BT tools.

Also, there is alot of "new feature" information here in this sub-forum. You just have to search for it. I can even find several threads where the timeframe it should be available is given. I think it would be nice to have this organized into one nice, tidy, updated thread.

Since this thread didn't get much attention, though, perhaps I'm the only one who feels this is of some benefit, so I guess I'll stop bugging y'all
