i live in the toronto area, does anyone know where i could purchase some caged bike pedals?

you can get caged bike pedals at any bike store. but why? They're such old technology! you could go to MEC (Mountain Equippement Co-op) and get clipless pedals and shoes for around $100

Any they are a lovely blue color.

For the OP. Clipless all the way. For the little bit of adjustment time to the clips they are worth it. I would never go back.

I agree that clipless are the best option!  Well worth it.  Takes alittle getting used to but they're great.  I am training on an old road bike on my indoor trainer with caged pedals and I much prefer the clipless....worth the money.
