I've searched, but I'm not really finding what I'd like to see.

How do you set up your hydration and such for HIM distance races?  I've seen the xlab wings and hydrotails, but I've never used any of them.  I see that some are difficult to install, but that doesn't scare me.  I'll need two bottles, one tube, two CO2 and inflator, preferably a multitool, and  levers.  On top of that, a gel flask, but I have pockets or a bike mount for that.

I hate the idea of using the threaded inflators because the non-threaded CO2 is super cheap!

So, what do you use, and how do you like it?  Pics are a bonus.

I found the Minoura Dbl Cage and a small pack works well.

Here was my setup for IM distance races. I had a mini-tool, spare tube, patch kit, levers in between the gap of my H5.C.  I strapped a hand pump to top of the H5.C because CO2's may not be your friend on a 112 mile bike ride with limited cartridges.  I used the profile design aero drink up front and e-pack to hold about 6 powerbars, gels, etc.  The rear bottles held pre-mixed N.O. Xplode / Cytomax.  Downtube bottle held plain water.  Aerodrink held 30/70 water-gatorade mix.

I have a Profile aerobottle and single bottle on the downtube.  Perpetuem in the downtube bottle and plain water in the aerobottle.  With handups every 10-15 miles, there are plenty of chances to refill.

I have a small-size tool bag with a spare tube, levers , 2 CO2 cartridges and the adapter, and a multitool.

Nutrition goes in the pockets.  I've recently added the smaller bento box, but it's primarily to hold partial clif bars, shot bloks, or gels as I'm eating through them.

That's all I race with for HIMs, and plan the same for IMKY in three weeks.  For long rides, I just put an extra water bottle in my jersey pocket and then stop into a McDonalds or Starbucks to refill the water every once in a while.
