Subject: Powertap and WKO+ question

I own a Powertap.  Of course, I have the crappy software that it came with but also have the trial version of WKO+.  I don't necessarily want to pay $100 for WKO+ but I'd like to get my TSS and normalized power numbers.  I don't think I need the graphing features of WKO+ at this time (maybe one day).

Recognizing that, I think, these are WKO+ concepts, is there are software out there that will provide TSS and normalized power numbers for free?

I use SportTracks for my Garmin and have tried to use the plugin for my Powertap but don't see where someone has reverse engineered these numbers into that application.

For free?  Nothing other than WKO+ afaik.

That said, Alan Coggan has pointed to the formula being posted/discussed on the forums at TrainingPeaks.com.  I'm sure you could engineer up an Excel sheet to take the raw PT data and spit out a Pnorm value.

I decided that $100 was worth it for WKO+ myself.

TSS is specific to WKO+ (I think there's a trademark on it or something), so you won't find it calculated by any other software.

Don't pay $100. You can get a $20 discount through my team. At $79, it's well worth it but make sure you take the time to learn how to use it.

I have no affiliation, but I'd recommend the WKO+ software, TSS is one of only many great functions it was.
