Does anyone have any feedback on padded undies? Brand suggestions? Comfy/not comfy?

I thought a pair of these could be handy if I'm behind on laundry (or up on training!). Laughing

I bought a pair a long time ago so I could wear any of my regular shorts as MTN bike shorts.  They seem to work just fine!  I still wear them if I go to the gym (I'm sheepish to wear bike shorts at the gym).

I just wear cycling shorts... I tried a padded underwear a few years ago and found that between them and the shorts I was wearing over them I had issues with bunching / wrinkling and they really didn't do much for me.

I got a pair once to wear under "regular" shorts for mtn biking. I never use them. I just wear my padded bike shorts alone. If I hung with more mtn bikers, I might get a pair of padded baggy shorts. But the padded undies really never found a niche in the gearzone as a utilitarian piece of gear.

Oh, and I definitely do not have the sort of body one associates with "lycra".  At least, not in a good way. But I realized a long time ago that if I let myself be limited by what others might think of my appearance, I would never get on a bike, or go for a run, or a swim.

I'm just getting used to wearing actual bike shorts, been wearing padded boxer/liners under regular hiking shorts for awhile. The only brand I'm familiar with is Novara (REI house brand). They're inexpensive, they hold up, and they're somewhat comfy. You'll get a better chamois with more padding on an actual bike short (whether road or MTB shorts), but the liners work.

$24 ain't too bad of a deal ...
