Am I missing something or is there a way to quick reply to a thread without clicking "New Reply" then going to a new screen?

Is there any way to change the width of BT on my screen. There's lots of unused space on either side, would be nice to stretch out Smile

Nope. That hasn't come up before that I'm aware.  You'd still have to do a page load to see the new post, so I'm not sure how much time would be saved.  Could you point us to an example of a forum with this functionality?

This is addressed in the new version of the site that's in development. The current template was created before wide/flat panel monitors were ubiquitous. The new version makes much better use of screen real estate.  Look for it some time this Spring. With a site this big there's a lot of work involved.

There should be two reply buttons.

And yes, we will be stretching out a few hundred pixels....ahhhhh.

Thanks for the super fast replies. I participate on lots of forums for my different hobbies. The one most common board I see used is vBulletin

Here is a sample thread (I can't make it a link)
http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?s=8c034c01349005c3ba77ef9f89f30662&f=15

If you register and log in you can see the quick reply box at the bottom of threads. They require you to click a "Quick Reply" button in order to activate the box but most (all?) other vBulletin sites I've seen don't require that step. It's just a box waiting for you to type.

Just FYI, I don't work for vBulletin or have any affiliation with them. I've just seen them used on a lot of boards. Can PM you some additional links if you would like.
