Subject: RE: newbie bike questionAssuming the wheel was trued originally correctly, the spacing of the nuts on the skewer shouldn't make a big difference. A lot of times when I rush the wheel back on I just don't have it seated correctly in the fork or rear. Loosen the nuts and wiggle it into place. Make sure the center of the tire is under the center of the brake, then tighten up.
However, if that doesn't work have the LBS check it out. I once misalligned a wheel after disassembling and relubing the hub because I screwed up the reassembly. I didn't figure it out until I put it on a trueing stand and realized the dishing was out of whack. |
