Subject: RE: Seatpost creakingFirst off, make sure it IS the seatpost. These hollow tubes contraptions we ride can transmit sounds from end to end with no real clue where they originate. That being said...Check saddle rails, remove seatpost-clean it and seat tube, grease very lightly (even if it's CF-no evidense it causes any harm ), reinsert, tighten down TO SPEC only. Easy to ruin a seatpost or strip out a binder bolt if you start reefin on it. Then while you've got a wrench in your hand; check chaniring bolts, bars/stem, crank, pedals, shifters etc. Good Luck.
