I am trying to decifir my training plan and wondered what this training plan meant on my BT workout schedule. If "t" means tempo run or bike, what is the definition of a tempo run or bike. The other mystery for me is the "r". help. I also have an upcoming workout telling me to do: 4x (6t,2e). What is the "e"

uh-oh, you asked THE QUESTION.

Short answer: a comfortably hard pace that you can maintain for an hour.

Long answer: there are a kajillion different definitions, depending on who you ask, what running book they last read, what decade they first started running, what brand of shoe they wear, whether they prefer regular or whole wheat pasta....

Go with the short answer.
