Subject: First Tri tomorrow!
My first Tri is tomorrow (Olympic), I'm pretty stoked. The gun goes off in less than 13 hours. I've prepped everything, packed my transition bag, walked through my transitions one last time, checked everything on my bike at least 3 times, etc. Time to hit the rack. I love the night before big races...

I saw your post at 8:32 this morning - you're probably on your bike or finishing your run.  I hope you are doing well and enjoying yourself!

Best,

DQ

Subject: RE: First Tri tomorrow!.... FINISHED!!! BOO-YA!!!
I finished!  A big thanks to everyone at BT!  Would have updated sooner, but work took me on the road for a few days.  Results:

Distance:  Olympic
Total time:  3:06:30
Swim: 30:26
Bike: 1:26:36
Run: 1:04:14
Overall: 217/404 (solid MOP)
AG:??  didn't stick around long enough to check, my training partner took an ambulance ride.  Official results soon.

Transitions weren't timed, but simple math, I spent ~5 minutes between T1 and T2.

Went harder than I should have on the bike and my run suffered massively.  Suffered from the dreaded spaghetti-noodle legs for the last 3 miles.  Up until then I was well on pace for a sub 3:00:00 finish (my goal).  Lesson learned:  More long bricks.
