Does anybody have any good tips for repairing a tear in a wetsuit.  I have a small (1/2 inch) tear in the leg of my wetsuit.  It's away from any seams.  I've seen various adhesives on the internet to use for gluing back together, but I wanted to see if BT had any inside info on which is the best.

Thanks for the help.

Does the tear go all the way through the supporting fabric on the inside as well?  If not, very simple.

Go to your local scuba shop or look online for Neoprene cement.  Easy to find on the internet at scuba sites.   here is an example.

You typically apply a bit of the glue to both sides, let sit for a couple seconds, push the tear together and hold for another 15 seconds and done.  There probably is a cure time of a couple hours before you can use it.

REALLY simple, and looks great.  Hardly notice the tear.

Aquaseal is awesome. I use it for all of my rental suits and that stuff works!! It dries pretty quickly too, holds up well, and doesn't seem to come apart once its dry.

I just stopped by a scuba shop to ask about the same thing. Basically, the guy there said that if there isn't any material missing from the tear, your best bet is neoprene cement (which is what I ended up with, but haven't actually done the repair yet). If there's material missing, aquaseal works better as it fills in the hole. He said both work great.
