Subject: RE: HELP - Need Help Installing a DA Crankarm - I'm at a LossI unscrewed the bolt in the middle of my 7800 crank arm with a pair of needle nose pliers extended. I'm sure shimano has some $15 tool "required" to do it though. On my 7800 installation went like this: 1. Install bottom bracket (I did use the Shimano wrench to screw it into the frame...though you could probably get by without it if you didn't mind scratching the BB a bit. ) 2. ) slide drive side into bottom bracket (might need to be a bit forceful. ) 3. ) slide other arm on. 4. ) Screw in the 2 smaller bolts (one on each side ) with allen wrench. 5. ) Screw in the middle bolt with my fingers, tighten with needle nose's extended into the grooves. the end. |
