Sorry if this has been asked before, but found nothing through search. Was curious if logging stationary bicycle workouts in the log in the "bike" section is a good idea or not. For instance...if it is crappy outside and I just hit the gym and do my bike workout on the stationary, should i log that as if I were outside?
Lots of people do. I do. I just differentiate it by using the Equipment tracker.
Some people use a standard reference pace to determine a distance. Personally I just track the time. It makes it easier for me to figure out the amount of time I've spent out on the road vs. on the trainer.
Good question. I always log it as biking. I figure it uses the same muscle group as outside biking. However I do wonder about the distances that the bike reports. Also I always note what type of biking that I did.
I'm a type Z personality though so I tend to give myself kudos for anything where I get off the couch. Hopefully some hardcore type will chime in here.
I log the time and distance it as regular biking, but don't record the speed. When I look historically at the progress of my speed over time I don't want to be mixing road bike speed with stationary bike speed since there isn't a good correlation.
