Super awesome swim today, courtesy of the guy in the next lane

Due to my work schedule, 99% of all my training is solo, and today was no different. I'm normally a pretty steady 1:50-1:55/100y swimmer, and can do a mile without a problem. Today while doing my laps, someone i'd never seen before at the pool got into the lane next to me and started doing laps. Best part was, he was just a bit faster than me, so I pushed my pace to keep up with him. For my mile I was able to average a 1:47 pace. He finished up not long after I did, I commended him on being a solid swimmer, mentioned how it was great to have someone at roughly the same level, he agreed. He asked what time I was normally at the pool, and we've set a soft target for meetups at the pool. Yay!
