Doctor weighed me on Friday. Her scale had me 6 lbs heavier than mine. If she cannot afford to buy a proper scale I am done with her. Just because hers is a 1500.00 digital and mine is 29.00 Target from 5 years ago. Dammit mine is right!

...I'm changing dr's because my old one told me not to run. What was he thinking?....

Anyway, all scales are different. Just use the same one and be consistent and its fine. Stick with your scale! I have a friend who goes out of her way to go to a certain gym b/c she always weighs less on that scale so she likes it to be consistently less.

I've got you all beat. I get a pretty consistent 12 pounds difference between our scale at home and the one with the very strong gravity at the Dr's office. My wife is consistently within 2-3 pounds on the same two scales.

The number from a different scale is irrelevant. If you want to measure and track weight in any meaningful way all that matters is the change over time measured at the same time of day using the same relatively reliable scale.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to scour ebay for additions to my slide rule collection.
