Subject: Don't know where to start I am a 35yo 195 lbs fire/medic, I am married with two boys. I live in Florida and am recovering from a pulled groin and hip flexor injury from the Gate river run in Jacksonville. I only work out doing calastenics, no weights anymore, I don't need any size. Running, biking and swimming are good workouts so I want to start training now that I'm healed. I have realized to much running is not good for me due to my weight class. I have done the Tarpin springs Triathalon when I was 25. I know what to expect just don't know where to start. Swimming is my weakest area and have only worked up to 4 laps withoutstopping in the pool. If someone could point me in a good direction with a Triathalon series and a good routine that would be great, something withen the Central Florida area would be nice. I need a goal to push myself, this is why the interest in Triathalons, it's seem to be a well rounded sport and I think that makes a well rounded athlete. |
