Zoot Ultra blisters on first run?

Regular  230   Napoleon |  Subject: Zoot Ultra blisters on first run?anyone else have this problem on first run. I stopped about 3.5 miles in...
Might be an adjustment period for the backs of my heels, that was the only place that got blisters.
Thoughts??? |

Expert 602 Las Vegas | Subject: RE: Zoot Ultra blisters on first run? What year are the shoes? The older models had a really high back which was irritating to some runners. For some reason, I never had a problem (but my wife does). The newer model has a much lower back. |

I am planning on using them again this week with some body glide...others have said that helps a lot. |

Pro 9391  Omaha, NE | Subject: RE: Zoot Ultra blisters on first run? Yep, it's pretty common and I think almost everybody gets them on the back of the heel on the first run. I used liquid skin bandages on my blisters and then body glide to keep the friction down after I got mine. After a couple weeks of running the skin toughened up and I haven't used anything since and I've been running with them for a year. I've gone up to half marathon distance without any issues at all. They're great shoes and you'll love them. |

I am planning on using them again this week with some body glide...others have said that helps a lot. Those are the TT 4.0's, so yes, they have a high heal tab with can chaff. Body glide or socks to that cover up to the ankle worked for me. |
