What a tremendous writer and human being. Reading his books was like my personal universal Big Bang into literary and imaginative being.

This is sad. There are few authors whose books I was able to enjoy as a kid, then re-read as an adult, and finally have the ability to pass them on to my own kids. They have the ability to let me as a parent spark deep conversations about social issues and many difficult topics.

I'd say he will be missed, but his books will keep him alive for so many of us.

I'm really sorry to hear that.  I've always enjoyed his books.

His books and the TV episodes of Twighligt Zone (plus a few really good sci-fi movies, ok and George Orwell, and Shelly) defined the best of the 'mirror' of science fiction to reality.

Do you get the same sad feeling as me when you think about all the people who love all these reality TV shows...and then think about the fireman's wife in Fahrenheit 451?

I like to think of all that people like him have contributed to humanity. His stories have such a wonderful impact on our own imaginations and views of the universe.

And with that impact, he'll live on for a long time.
