I did the try a tri in 2009. The sprint is awesome you get to swim after a boat ride. Road conditions were good when I did it. Its slightly hilly but nothing like the other muskoka races. Then again I'm from Muskoka so my opinion might be different from the other Ontarians. Its a great venue and awesome race. Have fun!!!

i'm in for the olympic on the 14th, and will be part of the water safety team for the sprint and GT12.9 races on sunday - racing and kayaking in one weekend!
haven't done it previously, but muskoka roads are typically decent - they don't get as much freeze and thaw as southern ontario, so fewer potholes and frost heaves. they don't tend to get resurfaced as often, though, so the pavement is sometimes a little rough.
