I'm new to this too, so take what I say with a grain of salt. 1. Enjoy the experience. 2. Don't increase mileage to much especially on the run. I did that and got shin splints, then IT band issues. 3. Involve family if possible (spouse and children) if applicable, it will make it easier on you. 4. Don't be hard on yourself. 5. Don't think you have to have all he "gadgets" to get started, its gets expensive. 6. Focus your weaknesses 1st if you have any. 7. Smile! |
