Good morning BT!

5:00am:  25 minute walk to get moving

5:30am:  :45 minutes lower body strength stuff

At 7:  heading out to chase CC kids then train with my ladies

Jamie...Penelope (yes, that's the sick new ride's name!) is awesome!  I think for 10 years I've been riding on too big a frame--my new bike is a 15.5 and I feel so much more comfortable.  I love it!  I'm going to tear it up at that Xterra in August! I took a friend out riding--it's always interesting to me to find out either A. how out of shape the average American is or B. just how fit I am due to my tri life style.  Not saying that to be mean, I think I take for granted my fitness level and think everyone can do what we do on a daily basis.

Might get a swim in today before heading off for another softball weekend--daughter's travel team.  First game tomorrow is at 7:45am which means we're at the field at 6:45am!

Have a great day BT!

Just one of the many wonderful side effects of doing something we love. It's definitely something to be thankful for every day, keep workin it!

I've never tried stand up paddle boarding before as a cross training exercise but it's all the rage down here so I'm going with a group of people tonight. Should be a fun way to watch the sunset.

It is interesting when you are part of this lifestyle, where certain things seem normal, but to the avg person it certainly isn't. We take for granted that at any point we can go on a bike ride, run, hike etc and do relatively ok, but for some a couch to 5K seems impossible. Every day we can enjoy and improve our fitness is a gift IMO. If you've ever had an injury and can't train for some reason, you realize just how lucky we are!

5:15am - 60 min power spin

Unfortunately my oldest son is sick again, so any plans I had for today are a wash…getting him into the dr takes priority.

16:15 - afternoon tempo ride. It sucked. Heat wasn't so bad (I mean, it was hot, but I dealt with it), but it was really windy and my route was way more hilly than I anticipated. Not good for something where I'm trying to maintain a hard effort at a set cadence.

Hope everyone's had a good day.

Wow is it windy today! I rode for a little over an hour. It was great with the wind but it was tough when I turned south.

I'm on the other side of the college-student desk. I'm the one with the red pen in my hand. Those of us with schedules that change from day to day actually have an advantage, I think.
