Expert  735    Chatham, Ontario |  Subject: Essex County Tri Club - May 28/09The Tri Club is going to do another OWS at 7pm, Cedar Beach on Thurs May 28th. Also, bring your bike, as we can do a bike after the swim. This will be a great prep for the Belle River Tri on Sunday. Remember to take it off or east Fri and Sat. PS - change rooms are closed at 8pm! |

I was thinking about why I felt so crappy Friday night and realized how much crap I ate that day and how many coffees I had 8 large! My day to day eating habits have to get much better. |

Expert 711 | Subject: RE: Essex County Tri Club - May 28/09 I have a wetsuit and I've been thinking about skipping it for the BR try-a-tri. It's not very far and it's so shallow... I'm thinking that it might take me longer to transition than it would save me in the swim. I wouldn't worry about it if I were you! As for the bike, you'll be fine without lights. It's still so bright at that time of night now. But I'm also (probably) not riding, so don't put too much stock in what I say. |

However you probably will find it to be chilly on Thursday. If you change your mind about wanting a wetsuit then renting is an option. I think Tabbs did that at Running Factory before she bought? I have an old wetsuit, so if you are similar height and weight to me (5'11", 170 lbs) you could try it on Thursday. |

I am still going to wear my wetsuit for Belle River, it will be very cold for me! And, it will be good practice in the transition. The best thing is to try it out on Thursday and see how it feels! This way there won't be such a big shock on Sunday at the race. Oh, ffJeff had a good idea about Belle River. There is a long distance from the swim to transition so he suggusted that wetsuits sould come off at the beach to make the walk/run easier. |

Looks like I won't be able to do Belle River this weekend. I'm on call and can't risk not being around the phone for those few hours. Zebra mussels on the rocks? I dug out my surf shoes last night and I'm thinking about trying to swim/run in them on Thursday night. I cut myself up pretty good the last time that I did Windsor and would rather avoid that. |
